Types of Inspections

Mobile Roadworthys

A mobile roadworthy is a vehicle safety inspection of your vehicle that meets Queensland Government Regulations at a location and time that is suitable to you.

For cars / vehicles / trailers under 4.5t need a Roadworthy Safety Inspection completed prior to you selling your vehicle, new vehicle registrations and to transfer registrations.

Certificates are valid for two months or 2,000km (whichever expires first) from the issue date.

For Vehicles over 4.5t, a yearly Certificate of Inspection (COI) is required, which also allows the vehicle to be sold with a current COI. You must obtain a COI and an HVRAS before any new registration.

Mobile Pre-Inspections

Our pre-inspection is an independent, unbiased third-party professional service that evaluates a vehicle’s condition before or after you purchase a vehicle. Our technicians can come to you or the seller at a convenient and suitable time for both parties.

Roadworthy 2 U's Comprehensive Visual Inspection covers all aspects of the vehicle including but not limited to the Body, Interior, Glass, Brakes, Steering, Suspension, Motor, Drive Train, Differential, Oil Leaks, Identification, Road Test and a complimentary PPSR Security and Write off Check.

Mobile Gas Certificates

Generally, if you are selling, transferring the registration or gaining new registration on a caravan, camper and motorhome that has a Fixed Gas Regulator and or has a Gas Compliance Plate then you are required to have a Gas Compliance Certificate.

We offer packaged discounts when combining Gas Compliance Certificates with HVRAS and Road Safety Certificates.

Heavy Vehicle Registration Assessment Scheme (HVRAS)

HVRAS inspections are required for heavy vehicles (more than 4.5-tonne gross vehicle mass) and trailers (more than 750kg aggregate trailer mass) to ensure they comply with the following:

  • dimensional limitations
