Abusive Behaviour Not Tolerated

Zero Tolerance for Abuse – Why Roadworthy 2 U Follows the Rules, Not Opinions

At Roadworthy 2 U, our priority is road safety. Every day, our licensed inspectors help keep Queensland roads safe by carrying out roadworthy inspections in accordance with the standards set by the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR).

Unfortunately, there are times when customers become frustrated after a vehicle fails its inspection. While we understand that this can be disappointing, it's important to understand one thing:

We don't make the rules—we're legally required to enforce them.

Roadworthy inspections are governed by TMR

Every inspection completed by Roadworthy 2 U is carried out under Queensland legislation and TMR inspection standards.

Our examiners are licensed by TMR and are legally responsible for ensuring every vehicle meets the minimum safety requirements before a Safety Certificate (Roadworthy Certificate) can be issued.

This means our inspectors cannot:

  • Ignore defects.

  • "Pass it this time."

  • Overlook safety issues because you're in a hurry.

  • Bend the rules because another workshop might have done so.

Doing any of the above could result in serious penalties, including fines, suspension of an inspector's licence, or the loss of an Approved Inspection Station accreditation.

Why did my vehicle fail?

A failed inspection doesn't mean your vehicle is a bad vehicle.

It simply means that one or more items did not meet the minimum safety standards required by TMR at the time of inspection.

Our inspectors will explain the defects and what needs to be repaired before the vehicle can be re-inspected.

Our goal isn't to fail vehicles—it's to help you get them compliant and safely back on the road.

Abuse won't change the outcome

We appreciate that receiving unexpected repair costs can be frustrating.

However, becoming aggressive, abusive or threatening towards our inspectors will never change the inspection result.

Our technicians are simply doing the job they are legally licensed to perform.

Roadworthy 2 U has a zero tolerance policy towards:

  • Verbal abuse

  • Threats or intimidation

  • Aggressive behaviour

  • Harassment of our staff or contractors

Any abusive behaviour may result in the inspection being terminated, refusal of service, and where necessary, the matter being reported to the appropriate authorities.

Our inspectors deserve respect

Our inspectors work in all weather conditions, travel to customers across Queensland, and take pride in providing honest, professional inspections.

They are not the reason a vehicle fails.

The condition of the vehicle determines the outcome—not the inspector.

We ask every customer to treat our team with courtesy and respect, just as they will treat you.

We're here to help

At Roadworthy 2 U, we genuinely want every customer to pass their inspection. If your vehicle doesn't meet the required standards, we'll explain exactly why and what needs to be done to rectify the issues.

Our commitment is to fairness, professionalism and, most importantly, road safety.

Together, we can help keep Queensland roads safer for everyone.

Roadworthy 2 U – We're On Point

We follow the rules so you can drive with confidence.

Respect our team. Respect the law. Respect road safety. 💚🚗
